Meal Plans

In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for you. Dining with a campus meal plan provides students with healthy, nutritious meals and snacks. We'll do the cooking AND the dishes! Choose the plan that fits your lifestyle! All meals are non-transferable. 

2017-2018 Resident Dining Plan Options 

  • Block 320 Plan* - This option offers students 320 meals per semester along with 300 points.
  • Block 280 Plan* - This option offers students 280 meals per semester along with 500 points. This plan is required for all first year students, but available to all other resident students. 
  • Block 220 Plan - This option offers students 220 meals per semester along with 300 points. Open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Senior resident students.
  • Jr./Sr. Plan - This option offers 7 meals per week along with 300 points. Open only to Junior and Senior resident students.
        * These two plans are required for all first year students, but available to all other resident students.

ODU Dining Dollars

This is available to anyone wishing to purchase a meal plan (commuters, faculty & staff, etc.) The more points you purchase, the more dining points we give you FREE! 

Here's how it works: 

  • You purchase $50 - $100 points...We give you 5% extra points
  • You purchase $101 - $200 points...We give you 7% extra points
  • You purchase $201 - $300 points...We give you 10% extra points
  • You purchase $301 or more points...We give you 15% extra points

Meal Card

Selection of a Campus Dining Services meal plan entitles you to a meal card, which allows you purchasing power equivalent to the plan you have selected.  Here is how it works: 

  • Students must present their card to enter Hamilton Dining Room or to use their points in any of the retail facilities. 
  • Faculty & Staff - In addition to purchasing additional ODU Dining Dollars throughout the semester, faculty and staff may purchase meal "blocks" from the Business Office (ER 133). This option is especially convenient if you are here for the same meal on campus on any given day. Check with the Business Office for special rates. 
  • Faculty and staff can also add value to their Panther ID card through their account to be used at any dining venue as well as the ODU Bookstore and vending machines.

Lost or Stolen Meal Cards

Lost or stolen meal cards can be replaced. Should this happen to you report it to the ODU Business Office immediately and get a replacement card in the ODU Business Office (ER 133). We are not responsible for meals lost due to lost or stolen meal cards. Please report lost or stolen cards immediately.

Dietary Needs

Do you have particular dietary needs? No problem! Our Campus Dining Services Program can accommodate your special dietary requirements. For more information, please contact a dining service manager at (614) 251-4598.

Dining Policies

One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please bus your dishes and disposables from your table when you have finished dining.
  • Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • Remember that meal cards are non-transferable. Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
